The Song of Amergin.

I am a stag of seven tines,
I am a wide flood on a plain,
I am a wind on the deep waters,
I am a shining tear of the sun,
I am a hawk on a cliff,
I am fair among flowers,
I am a god who sets the head afire with smoke.
I am a battle waging spear,
I am a salmon in the pool,
I am a hill of poetry,
I am a ruthless boar,
I am a threatening noise of the sea,
I am a wave of the sea,
Who but I knows the secrets of the unhewn dolmen ?

Gardening time.Yahhhhh

Well we got out on our new garden today and did some tree pruning and also pruned some bushes.

It seems we have inherited a few trees including apple, plum, acer and hawthorn amongst others.

Bulbs are starting to show through,As Forrest Gump would say its like a box of chocolates ''you never know what your going to get'',its going to be interesting seeing what comes up.

I was a little bit gutted as I was clearing a hawthorn I accidentally lopped a small cherry tree which I will have to replace.
Ill also be planting a Silver Birch tree as this is one of my favourite trees,Ill soon have my very own littl wood.

I also dug up five rose bushes as Im not keen on them.

Its been really nice to get out on the garden and start getting it how we want it to look.

Heres some photos of the garden.

Pruning the apple tree.

Mrs Sticks pruning a bush.

Me taking a breather and relaxing in my DD hammock..

My old street sign has a new home.

This guy flew over.

  1. Don't work too hard John...all that lounging...not sure it's good for you mate! That sure looks like a nice, almost blank canvas you got there. A nice little private woodland sounds like a very good idea to me!

    1. Don´t get lost in your own woodland;-)... that hammock certainly looks cozy. Great you have the Missus to do all the work, eh?;-) Kidding aside, a nice little piece of land, and I guess we´re in for some good canning recipes in autumn...;-) look forward to them!
